Phoenix in the Sheets

Smearing red

Then

Orange – orange

Fading into yellow
Across his face

Lips

Neck

Chest
I am transmuting myself

Beyond artist

To creator
Recreator

Of his very nature
He is

Morphed from

Mere human frailty

Mortal man

To everlasting

Fiery Phoenix
Burning both

Within and without
When my mad impulse to

Make my mark on him

Morphs into a need to

Have him

Those fiery colors move onto

My skin

Lips

Chest

And we’re both

On fire
Passion

And paint

Not for

The faint of heart

The

Weak willed
The stamp of Us

Leaves a scorched path
From

My mouth

Searing down

My body
Filling me up

With almost unbearable heat
Waves

Crashing through us both

Leaving us spent
And tattooed

With melted flames

And hot memories

To be rekindled

Later

Like a bird
From the ashes
Til then…

  1. Wow, Jennifer—can a man say: “you go girl!”—–this is so alive, it burns down the whole world: “When my mad impulse to

    Make my mark on him

    Morphs into a need to

    Have him

    Those fiery colors move onto

    My skin

    Lips

    Chest

    And we’re both

    On fire
    Passion

And paint”—-you’re a madwoman, a witch, a fiery goddess of the pagan spirit world and a world class lover—-know your strength!!!
